Receive Food

Exterior of present location pantry (1).jpg

The Hopewell Food Pantry serves residents who reside in zip code 23860 and 23836. These residents are eligible for a distribution of perishable and nonperishable food items, including fresh produce, that is sufficient for at least one week.

To receive food the first time, please provide proof of residency and photo identification. If you have just moved into the area, a rental agreement is sufficient. Simply arrive at the food pantry during our distribution hours and form a line behind the cars waiting. It is helpful for new clients to arrive at least one hour before we close, since it takes time to process new people into the system. Our Intake person will collect your personal information when you are served. The HFP requires both an ID, such as a current driver’s license, and a bill or lease (dated within 60 days of your distribution visit).

Once you are registered, you are permitted one visit a calendar month. Always visit with both forms of proof of residency, or you will not be served.

Drive-thru Distribution Hours:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 12:30 – 3:00PM

Please be aware that the food pantry does not have a public restroom. During the heat of the summer, bring something to drink. There are times when the line takes time, so please come prepared.
